چکیده
Bondeseglationen har sedan gammalt varit av avgörande betydelse för skärgårdsbefolkningen då de med egna båtar och skutor kunnat föra sina produkter till avsalu i Stockholm. Denna bondeseglation utvidgades småningom tack vare en allt mer liberaliserad lagstiftning ren fraktseglation vilken brukar benämnas bygdesjöfart, maritim näring som idkades åboländska åländska skärgårdskommunerna, intensivast under tidsperioden 1868–1914. Även om seglationen senare hälften 1800-talet utsträcktes vidare vatten utanför Östersjön kom mindre fartygen hela den tid pågick att ha svenska hamnar viktig destination både lastning lossning.
